Emergence is a meditation on complexity from simplicity, the invisible forces through which order arises. Inspired by the idea that the sum can exceed its parts, the installation transforms paper into a luminous field of folded forms — a microcosm of patterns found in nature, matter, and the cosmos.

Machine scoring establishes precision, but it is the subtle hand finishing of each pleat that breathes life into the structure, introducing variation and rhythm. Suspended and illuminated, the sculpture shifts as viewers move, revealing hidden geometries and evolving shadows. Encountering the work becomes an act of perception, where the delicate interplay of light, fold, and space mirrors both universal phenomena and our own capacity to notice, reflect, and discover the unseen order in the world around us.
