Commissioned by the owner of a wellness studio, this installation responded to a desire for calm, meditative ambience. Fung+Bedford designed a Tyvek architectural origami light fitting to diffuse all the hard surfaces and create a soft, ambient glow for a more tranquil atmosphere.

The design employed a precise zig-zag fold, generating delicate shadows and volumetric interest. A bespoke metal frame and tension-wire system allowed the Tyvek panels to be suspended safely, accommodating ceiling cabling while maintaining form and stability.

To complete the immersive environment, a complementary Tyvek wall hanging was introduced. Visitors experience the space as a gentle interplay of light, shadow, and texture, encouraging slowing down, reflection, and quiet presence — a material meditation embedded within the architecture of the room.
