Roll with it
London, 2026
Client: Firmdale Hotels / Kit Kemp Design, Treasure House Fair
Materials: Tyvek and LED Lighting strips
Roll With It began at Clerkenwell Design Week 2026, when a Firmdale Hotels/Kit Kemp Design designer spotted our large-scale, illuminated sculpture and asked for something to hang above a temporary oyster bar at the Treasure House Fair art show. Budget was tight and just six weeks separated enquiry from install, so rather than start from scratch we reused the Clerkenwell sculpture's origami panels — bespoke, hand-folded by us — hanging them horizontally this time, with a full 360-degree twist and a gentle sag along their length.
Working with the client and site install team on hanging points, power and lighting levels, we answered the architecture of the temporary bar in just four hours on site. Suspended above Oscar's Oyster Bar, the mindful, immersive piece brought a playful nod to space and imagination amid the fair's bustle — proof that light travels fast when the craft is already made.
“We were delighted to work with Fung + Bedford on the Treasure House Fair 2026, where their latest installation took centre stage above Oscar's Oyster Bar. Working in harmony with its surroundings, the installation created an immersive environment that gently nodded to Surrealism. It was unexpected, imaginative and quietly captivating. Amid the bustle of the fair, it invited visitors to pause, sparking curiosity while offering moments of calm and wonder.”
