The Other Side of the Story

London, 2026

Client: Penhaligon, King's Road Concept Store

Materials: Tyvek and Liquid coated Aluminium

Selected as one of four artists for Penhaligon's second King's Road Concept Store session, The Other Side of the Story is paired with The Maneuvers of the Baroness — chosen as a QEST scholar through Penhaligon's partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust. The piece explores hidden layers behind everyday reality: drawings extracted via CAD from the architecture of the computer models behind our large-scale origami installations, cut with the same plotter that scores that work — the yin to their origami yang.

Cut from Tyvek and hand-folded by us, it brings that drawing practice and our sculpture together for the first time, with a depth and contrast beyond our usual white-only art. Twisted through 180 degrees around a fixed point, the piece resolved through client dialogue into a bespoke gold anodised aluminium rod, answering the Baroness's palette and catching the light — offering only mindful glimpses of the other side within the window's immersive space.

Also part of the same session: Event Horizon, on the green wall — 280 hand-folded units of ombré-printed Fedrigoni paper, printed by FE Burman (full story here).
