Event Horizon is a meditation on visibility, absence, and the limits of perception. Inspired by the astrophysical event horizon — the boundary beyond which light and information cannot escape — the artwork asks how much of the universe, and ourselves, remains unseen.
Shrinking Fedrigoni paper squares, printed by FE Burman on one side in a subtle Ombré effect, hover in concentric arrangements, forming a circular constellation of hidden layers. Visitors move around the work, discovering subtle alignments and overlaps. Each shift of perspective reveals fragments previously unnoticed, echoing the universe’s quiet mystery and our own experience of attention, presence, and the unknowable beyond our immediate perception.
